Hello everyone! In this guide, we'll be going over every step there is to the Brewery plugin, from cauldrons to sealing tables. Before we dive into the aspects, let's talk about what the brewery is, and the benefits it can provide. If you already know everything about brewery, you can scroll all the way down for the recipes.

What is Brewery?:

The Brewery plugin is a special plugin that allows you to brew powerful potions that can provide buffs beyond your average vanilla Minecraft potions, such as Speed 4, Strength 5, and even Dolphins Grace. The catch is that unlike Minecraft potions, they take extra time to make. For most recipes, the extra time spent is well worth it... but how does one get started on brewing? That's what we'll be going over in this guide.

How to get started (Setup):

The first step to becoming a Brewmaster is to reach your first Chef prestige (more info about job prestiges at https://apeironmc.com/wiki/). If you don't have the prestige, you'll be unable to use any features of the Brewery plugin. (Tip: You should grind this prestige for /buffet anyway, it's a life-saving perk). If you've already reached the first prestige, then we can move on to the setup. There are four things you'll need to make for a proper brewery station; the cauldron, the distiller, the barrel and the sealing table (optional). Let's start with the first piece.

The Cauldron:

The cauldron is the essential piece to your brewery, all recipes require a cauldron to be followed. The image below represents what your cauldron should look like:

Note that a fire MUST be lit under the cauldron, you can achieve this by either using netherrack and flint, or a campfire. Whichever you prefer.

The Distiller:

The distiller is the simplest piece of your setup to create. All you need is a brewing stand and a piece of glowstone dust, as shown below:

Make sure that your brewing stand is powered (the bar should be yellow)

The Barrel:

The barrel is the hardest part of your setup to make, as not only are they the largest piece of the setup, but you may also need more than one. Below is what your barrel should look like:

Barrels are made from wood planks. To create a barrel, you'll need 20x wood planks, 16x wood stairs, and 5x wood fence. These barrels can be made from Oak, Birch, Jungle, Spruce, Acacia and Dark Oak. It is recommend to have at least one of each barrel in your setup.

The Sealing Table (optional):

If you plan on selling your brews through chest shops, you'll want to make one of these. This will allow you to make very similar brews the same, so you don't have to change the sign on your shop after every sale. This will also keep you and others from tampering with its quality. Below is how to make a Brew Sealing Table:

You can use any type of wood planks for the crafting. After you craft one, you can place it anywhere you like. You only need one sealing table, so don't worry about making multiple.

Now that we've gone through all of that, we can start with the actual brewing process.

Brewing:
For this example, we'll be making Rum. The recipes is as follows; 18x sugar canes, cook for 6 minutes, distill 2 times, then age it for 14 years in an Oak barrel.

First, you'll want to grab exactly 18 sugar canes and put them in your cauldron by right-clicking any side with the sugar canes in hand. Make sure you put them all in! After that, you'll want to check on your cauldron regularly by right-clicking the cauldron with a clock. One minute in real life is one minute of cooking time. After your ingredients have been cooking for 6 minutes, right-click the cauldron with three glass bottles to scoop out your brew. Do not let your ingredients overcook, or the quality of your brew will be lowered.

Rum needs to be distilled twice, to do that, simply place the three brews in your distiller. This part is the easiest since brews will automatically stop distilling once they've reached the desired distill runs.

Lastly, you need to age the brew by right-clicking your barrel, this will open a chest GUI that you can place the brews into. 20 minutes in real life is 1 year of aging, so expect to wait a while. Using the wrong type of wooden barrel or over-aging your brew will decrease its quality, so don't forget about them! You can tell how long they've been aging by right-clicking the barrel again and hovering over the brew.

Once you've finished aging your brews, they are ready, you can store them for later, drink them, or seal them in the Brew Sealing Table to sell in chest shops. To seal them, all you have to do is right-click your sealing table and place the brews inside, you'll hear a sound cue shortly after putting them in, indicating they've been sealed. If your brew does not seal for some reason, simply place the brew back in and back out.

If you've followed through and done well, you should have Golden Rum at a 5-star quality! Give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done, Rum is very far from the easiest to make.

Tips:

  1. For keeping easy track on your aging brews, use a timer. There are several apps online and on mobile devices to choose from that'll assist you in your time management.
  2. Got some brews aging, but have to go somewhere? Or maybe you're about to go to bed? Take your brews out of the barrel and place them in a chest. You can put them back in the barrel to continue aging when you get back.
  3. For maximum output, I recommend having 9 cauldrons in a row, this will give you enough brews to fill an entire barrel, for maximum efficiency.
  4. If using more than one cauldron, split your stacks so you don't accidentally put too much of one ingredient into the cauldron.
  5. Avoid having any items of value in your hotbar or offhand while placing ingredients in cauldrons, you may end up losing something important.
  6. The higher-quality your brews are, the longer the buffs will last. Debuffs will also have decreased durations.
  7. You can create Warped and Crimson barrels, but as of right now, there are no recipes that require them.
Recipes:
Over the months, we've been adding more and more recipes to the server, with each new update bringing better, powerful brews. Legendary Brews:
These brews are extremely powerful, but require a lot of time and precision to make, even the slightest error could ruin your attempt. Unlike the other brews, ingredient amounts will be given to you, except for one, which a hint will take its place. However, you may have to guess the cooking time, aging time, or barrel type. To get started on a legendary brew, you must first make a Fusion Catalyst:

Name: Fusion Catalyst
Ingredients: 1x nether star, 4x fermented spider eye
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Distill Runs: 3 times
Age: 0
Barrel: n/a

After you create the Catalyst, you can begin a legendary brew using one of the recipes below;
